linux - code keeps repeating in command Prompt -


i installed ubuntu webserver on laptop have not been using anymore. when log terminal >>

  [(different numbers)] nouveau e ddc responded no edid lvds-1

i able work away no probelm on every command , during writing command continue repeat.

any ideas?

it seems have hit bug in nouveau driver. try upgrading kernel (or ubuntu release) newer version bug fixed.

an easier , quicker way fix install nvidia's proprietary driver. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/binarydriverhowto/nvidia

of course, makes sense if plan use gui on machine.

if it's output bothers you, easiest workaround switch tty, pressing ctrl+alt+f2 example, , work there. kernel messages posted tty1 usually.
