windows 7 - System Date Changes to correct time but year 8113 -


every couple of days (2 times week) desktop (win. 7) starts date-time updated. time, date & month correct in year 8113. makes several programs word/excel working inappropriate & crashing.

bios/cmos battery has been replaced, several antivirus programs had scanned & find find virusses. no malware or suspicious software installed.

does sounds familiar ?

i know answer tackles origin of problem. unfortunately don't see come from.

instead, wanted suggest check time-synchronization. windows can sync time servers , in predefined interval.

you try change time-server , change interval.

the interval has changed altering registry key, namely \hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\w32time \timeproviders\ntpclient (it in seconds, 86400 value interval of 1 day!).

maybe it's not fix of originating problem, frequent updates of system time should reduce resulting problems.
