osx - I have two folders containing the same files (e.g. glfw,php5*,wget). Should I delete the other (non-Homebrew)? -


initially, i'm looking way phpmyadmin mcrypt working, , since i'm using homebrew phpmyadmin, figured must homebrew again.

when used brew doctor, reported have config scripts in /usr/local/opt/php54/bin/php-config can confuse software installed via homebrew.

i deleted entire php5* folders (it such dumb moment beginner me), , brew doctor reported clear.

my homebrew folder resides in /usr/local/cellar. have identical folders residing in: /usr/local/opt/ , /usr/local/cellar/

i'm using cellar folder. alright delete files inside /usr/local/opt/? preliminary actions should first ensure no casualty?
